Gelatin gummies

Do you enjoy eating jelly? Or perhaps you enjoy drinking juice?


You can make either of these so much more nutrient-dense by making gelatin gummies instead. Gelatin is wonderful for improving your gut health as it contains collagen which is an essential component of our intestinal walls and also contains amino acids which are necessary for various functions in our body.


Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp gelatin

  • 100ml liquid (e.g. juice, pureed fruit)


  1. Pour chosen liquid into a saucepan.

  2. Sprinkle over the gelatin and allow it to absorb some of the liquid till it becomes thicker and wrinkly. This is called "blooming" the gelatin.

  3. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir until the gelatin is dissolved.

  4. Pour the gelatin into moulds.

  5. Refrigerate it for 2-4 hours to allow it to set.
